KBBF celebrates children and families at its Dia Del Niño event, packed with free and fun activities. Live music and performances will be provided by Voces Mexicanas, comedian Luis Vasquez, theater students from Windsor’s Cali Calmecac school, and the troupe of Ballet Folklorico Sarita. And, yes, there will be activities for children, including piñatas.   Every week, the Women’s Spaces one-hour program highlights the women and organizations that make a difference for people around the world. The show is broadcast live Mondays at 11am, and is replayed at 11pm. After a brief hiatus in which favorite shows of the past were replayed, host Elaine B. Holtz is bringing back the live program beginning this month.

Community recognition can be essential for organizations. However, Sonoma County’s elected officials tend to overlook KBBF’s contributions to local news coverage and culture. Thus, KBBF is hosting its own event to honor its hard work! January 19th is the date, and the public is invited. Thanks to the volunteers and listeners who make the station great. For more information, call KBBF at 545-8833.
