I was by Canevari’s the other day and had one of the best deli lunches in Sonoma County - a sandwich with a good amount of meat, plenty of veggies and a great Italian dressing sauce that lifted the whole layered concoction up to a plateau of greatness. Canaveri’s makes specials every day, highlighted on big sandwich boards out front that are fun and inviting.

People are used to joining Wine Clubs and ordering online, so that part of the winery experience hasn't changed since Corona Virus Shelter-in-Place restrictions on wine tasting. What is different is how people pick up their wine and even how people enjoy wine tasting!

Seasons, located inside a building from the late 1800s that originally housed a shoe store, retains old world charm with its ornate tin-tiled ceiling, brick walls and an overall elegant décor. The staff is friendly and the space has a warm and inviting vibe. In addition to some really good wine, Seasons sells an assortment of unique, high-end merchandise, making it the perfect stop for those who want to taste and shop with glass in hand. The gold-colored beverage in my glass has generally been Ferrari-Carano’s Reserve Chardonnay

Everyone understands that these times can be frustrating. But they do not have to be dismal and sad! Thankfully you are sitting and tasting wine while your winery hosts do all they can to make your experience wonderful. Be a positive force to support Sonoma Wine Country, and not a positive case of COVID19. There are always other ways to show your support by buying wine for pick-up and foregoing the tasting reservation. As we have come accustomed to zoom meetings with our nice tops and pajama bottoms, no one will judge if you prefer to sip in the comfort of your favorite slippers.
