The 2020 Eco-Friendly Garden Tour will take place on Saturday, May 2nd and will be hosted online.
In response to the COVID-19 public health emergency and in accordance with the Sonoma County Public Health Officer’s order to shelter in place, the Sonoma-Marin Saving Water Partnership has made the decision to cancel the self-guided tour and host an online tour by offering home made videos of gardens throughout Sonoma and Marin counties.
The Eco-Friendly Garden Tour is a public outreach and education program that promotes sustainable landscaping practices by showcasing inspiring gardens throughout Sonoma and Marin counties. The Tour highlights Russian River-Friendly and Bay-Friendly landscaping best practices, and supports. Qualified Water Efficient Landscaper certified professionals by featuring their personal or client’s gardens.
The California Native Plant Society-Milo Baker Chapter will be hosting an online plant sale where you can order native plants online and their volunteers will deliver plants to your home. All orders must be submitted by April 30th and your native plants will be delivered May 2nd-4th.
The Laguna Environmental Center and the Petaluma based non-profit Daily Acts will be co-hosting a live Q&A. Questions might include native plant selection, rain water design features and gray water installations. Registration information will be available on theEco-Friendly Garden Tour Website.
