From the calls, posts, and emails I am receiving this week, it is clear that a big hug is something lacking in our social distancing world. While we are working and reporting on a lot of tough issues, remember to be kind to yourself and to those around you.
It's heartening to see so many public health officials, non-profits, and community members coming together to help others, even with the new normal of distance.
On Thursday, Governor Newsom issued a Stay at Home order to protect the health and well being of all Californians. The State has also launched a website with information on California's response here. In keeping with my pledge to keep answering your questions and keep you informed, we've now held two live facebook chats. You can view the video for last night's session (March 19)here. Our schedule for these fireplace live chats is every Tuesday/Thursday/Sunday at 8:30 pm on my public facebook page here. Please join us with your questions in english or in spanish.

The IRS urges taxpayers who are owed a tax refund to file as quickly as possible. For those who can’t file by the April 15 deadline, the IRS reminds individual taxpayers that everyone is eligible to request a six-month extension to file their return. Free electronic options are available. This information may be updated - check current information at at www.irs.gov/coronavirus
