Rain, Rain Go Away:

We sure have had a rough, long winter. With the flood of the century, wild winds and constant rain, its gotten tiresome. I'm certainly over it. I am hoping for dry weather come the month of June. But weather reports are forecasting we may continue to have this odd atmospheric weather pattern through summer and all the way through to the Fall season. Guess time will tell.  UGH! Please do not mention the drought, it is OVER.

Tennis Court:

The Rio Nido tennis court is hopping. I am so glad to see this. Even with all the rains we have had, whenever there is a dry window of weather, I've been seeing plenty of locals hitting some balls. Its wonderful to see locals of all ages enjoying this court.

Rio Nido Community Garden:

I am always impressed with this group of "Garden Elves". Last month they were out and about getting the garden spiffed up and ready for Spring and Summer. The fruits of their labor are starting to show. I'd love to join but alas, I do not have the time and, I certainly don't have a green thumb. Fortunately, I can enjoy it from afar and my neighbors treating me to their wonderful abundance of fruits and veggies. As always, YUM and a big thanks.

Rio Nido Roadhouse:

The Rio Nido Roadhouse is up and running. It is super nice inside. A ton of work has been going on since the flood. Fortunately Brad and Raena have a great following and many contributions have been made to get the RNR open in time for summertime FUN!  Please show your support, come on down, enjoy some good food, beverages and listen to some music. Lovin' the Community of Rio Nido.

Dog Park:

Despite this wet winter and spring the RN Dog Park is busy as ever. Throngs of locals get together and hang out daily.  There's a group of locals who own Huskies. These Huskies hang out with their humans every day. Btw there is a new baby pup Husky who just moved to RN. Not only is he gorgeous, he is going to be the RN Pet of the Month come July.

UPDATES:

Rio Nido Fountain:

The design for the fountain has changed. No standing water will be in the fountain. There will be water but no pool.

PG&E:

PG&E is doing a lot of rewiring and replacing power poles all throughout our little hamlet.

Clare is a baby kitten who loves to cuddle.RN Pet of the Month:

Clare is a baby kitten. She is approximately 10 weeks old. She shares her home with her baby brother Mickey. Clare has loads of energy and is quick as a pistol. She loves to cuddle in her bed with her mommy. Best of all, Clare has conquered the Cat Tree and has climbed all the way to the top. Let's given this little cutie a warm RN Welcome!
