UPDATE: 3/18 FLOOD DEBRIS REMOVAL UPDATE:
Things should be looking better around downtown Guerneville — commercial debris removal took place today.
And now, a couple of important updates surrounding residential debris removal:
1) Our LAST hazardous debris drop-off will be this Saturday, March 23rd at Sunset Beach parking lot from 8am to 4pm.
Due to requests from residents for additional time to clean out their houses, we have extended the curbside debris removal program. Rather than launching the second sweep this week, we will be launching the second sweep Monday, March 25.
THIS MEANS YOU NEED TO GET YOUR DEBRIS TO THE CURBSIDE BY SUNDAY EVENING, MARCH 24th.This extension gives you one more weekend to work... but meeting this deadline is critical! We are doing our best to provide ways to help you clean up. But if you don’t get your debris to the curbside and instead choose to dump it on the curbside after our pickup crews come through, you will be cited for littering. No exceptions. We want to keep our towns clean, safe, and free of litter (and pests that litter attracts).
Please note: We will be stepping up security and patrols to ensure that folks who choose not to remove their debris in time do not harm our environment by illegally dumping on the side of the road. If you are struggling to get the debris from your home to the curbside and need assistance, please let us know ASAP and we can try to match you with volunteers.
As always, let me know if you have any questions or need anything!707-565-2241 Lynda.Hopkins@sonoma-county.org

Move parked cars
Move parked cars along main and rural roads so that curbside pick-ups crews can move through the area easily.
Slow for the Cone Zone
Curbside collection will include large trucks, bins, and a crew. Drive cautiously and stay alert around workers.
Remove refrigerator doors
Identify anything with an air-tight seal, and dismantle it. Common air-tight items like refrigerators are dangerous to children and animals, who might play or become trapped in them.
Curbside Debris Collection Zones
All drop off locations for debris and hazardous debris are now closed. Illegal dumping is not permitted.
