The Valley Ford Cheese & Creamery now has its very own store front! The Valley Ford Cheese & Creamery now has its very own store front! Doors opened on May 2nd, although the shop was purchased in early 2016. Karen Bianchi runs the distribution out of their new location along with the front of house. She is excited because it’s “good to build relationships with the consumer.”
The Sonoma-Marin Dairy Belt has undoubtedly transformed due to increased costs and consolidation of the market. The business is not what it used to be. Fourth generation farmers like Karen have to think outside the milk box to survive and continue their family legacy.

I had the great pleasure to meet with our new neighbor, Lindsey Migdalski, the owner of the Mudd & Gold shop. She has lived in Bodega Bay since August, 2018. She was born to be a barber. As a young girl, she would chop up the hair of all her barbies. Once she found the clippers, she took it upon herself to give the family dogs a new hairstyle. As a teen, she trimmed and colored her boyfriend’s hair. Finally, she went to cosmetology school at age 19 and has been a hair stylist ever since.

The polenta and beef stew dinner will be 5 – 8p.m. on Saturday, March 2 at McCaughey Hall. More information at 707-876-9438. The Fisherman’s Marketing Association Of Bodega Bay organizes the (FMABB) CRAB FEED in BODEGA which is on March 16th, 4-7p.m, at McCaughey Hall. All you can eat fresh cooked marinated or plain crab, salad, and garlic bread. I'm honoring my Grand Aunt, Ellen Cheek in this column. It's so heavy on my heart that I must recognize the life of this very special person. Ellen was an extremely valued community member who had lived in Bloomfield and most recently in Graton
