The Sonoma County Board of Supervisors appropriated $1m in the 2017-18 fiscal year to address homelessness in the Lower Russian River area. $250,000 of that money was granted to West County Community Services by the Board of Supervisors for rapid re-housing.

The Lower River Homeless Task Force committee was asked to decide how to best utilize $750,000 of the $1m allocated by the County for fiscal year 2017-2018, to try and help solve the Lower River homeless problem.
